Support Club

The group will feature free group-based sports and exercise therapy to benefit mental health, physical health, and well-being. 

 

This includes:

  1. Mental health support

  2. Fitness routines 

  3. Strength training programs

  4. Sports science tips

  5. Wellbeing tips

 

Sports, especially football, can bring people together and make them happy. We aim to encourage football participation and get more people physically active.

 

Studies have shown that sports and exercise can be more effective than counseling or medication for specific mental health symptoms. Furthermore, football has been found to help prevent mental health issues from occurring.

    Meet your coach

 

Your coach, Alex Crawshaw, is qualified in sports science and healthcare. He is currently doing a Ph.D. in health coaching and aims to specialise in prescribing football and other sports for health and well-being.
