Strength training can help even prevent mental health issues according to studies and taking part in sports such as football can improve self-esteem - the progression is often very rewarding and fulfilling to achieve decent strength levels and improve. Personally, I found strength training brilliant for my mental health issues and football really helped me to get more socially active.
Next year we will be launching our mental health football team in Nottinghamshire and providing online exercise therapy between sessions to give mental health support and provide optimal strength training techniques to boost football performance and provide optimal nutrition.
