Powerlifting for mental illness

Powerlifting is about the deadlift, squat, and bench press for a 1 rep max. Research has proven that weight training is good for anxiety and depression but also for severe mental illness. Our exercise therapy concentrates on strength training and we encourage powerlifting to benefit mental health and even prevent mental illness.
